  The Ashtabula County Educational Service Center provides Continuous Improvement Planning Services to all school districts in Ashtabula County through the application of a Performance Excellence framework. These services include facilitating the preparation, analysis, decision making, and implementation of a district and building鈥檚 Continuous Improvement Plan for the purpose of improving: teaching and learning, assessment, professional development, student services, facilities, and environment; organization, governance, and resource leveraging; and family, business, and community involvement. We service Ashtabula Area City, Atech, Buckeye Local, Conneaut Area City, Geneva Area City, Grand Valley Local, Jefferson Area Local, and Pymatuning Valley Local.

  When it comes to academic performance Conneaut Area City Schools delivers. Conneaut enrolls approximately 2,000 students. Our attendance rate is over 95%. Conneaut High School has earned an Excellent rating for several consecutive years. Our staff is comprised of a wonderful blend of skill veterans and fresh, energetic teachers. These teachers are actively involved in weekly professional development. The teachers collaborate to create an integrated learning environment that is full of energy and uses research based learning strategies. We work hard at Conneaut Schools to create a caring, cohesive community and prepare our students for our increasingly diverse and technology based society. Beyond the students we offer many opportunities for families to get involved.

  Grand Valley Local School District is located in southern Ashtabula County, Ohio. The district's 122 square miles include the townships of Colebrook, Hartsgrove, Orwell, Orwell Village, Rome, Windsor and New Lyme Townships. There are over 1400 students that attend classes in one elementary, one middle school, and one high school, all conveniently located on one new campus. The system is committed to providing learning opportunities which enable each student to achieve maximum growth and development. The use of computers in the elementary and middle school classrooms provides excellent enhanced learning opportunities for students.

  The Jefferson Area Local School District, located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, encompasses nearly 130 square miles and serves students from the villages of Jefferson, Rock Creek, and Roaming Shores as well as students from parts of Austinburg, Denmark, Dorset, Jefferson, Lenox, Morgan,New Lyme, Plymouth, Rome, Sheffield, and Trumbull Townships. Approximately 1,900 students are enrolled in our 4 schools: Jefferson Area High School (9-12), Jefferson Area Junior High (7-8),Jefferson Elementary School (K-6), and Rock Creek Elementary School (K-6). The mission of the Jefferson Area Local School District is to provide an appropriate educational program and learning environment which will effectively meet the educational needs of its students and help its students accomplish educational goals. We strongly believe and continuously act to carry out the highest quality of education that is possible to meet the interests, desires, and needs of each individual student of the District. It is our constant goal to provide programs and instruction for and to each student of the District that will enable the student to attain his/her highest level of ability and achieve these concepts to ensure vocational competence, educational advancement, avocational diversity, and development and participation as a good citizen in our total society.
