• AMANDA-CLEARCREEK LOCAL

  
  

  Located in southwestern Fairfield County the Amanda-Clearcreek Local School District covers 99 square miles. The last consolidation occurred in 1960. The present district contains the entire township of Clearcreek with portions of Amanda, Hocking, and Madison Townships. The district has approximately 1600 students in grades K-12. The Amanda-Clearcreek School District opened a new grade 3 -12, 235,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in September 2003. A new 58,000 square foot K-2 building opened at the end of August 2005. Community support for the many diverse activities (athletic & academic) is widespread and the school sites are also used for many community activities such as club meetings, basketball leagues, and alumni functions. The school has a teacher of gifted and talented students. A private endowment provides funding for an enrichment coordinator to enhance math and science instruction. This endowment also funds a land lab for teacher and student use. A "Host Agreement", governed by an administrative board affiliated with one of the local businesses, helps generate an additional $10,000 to $20,000 per year for staff to purchase instructional supplies and equipment for students in the classroom. Amanda-Clearcreek presently uses its 1,000 computers to integrate educational multi-media program support for our curriculum, to provide students with greater access to educational resources outside the classroom, and to improve the communication between the school, the community, and the world. The new buildings enhance this process through improved equipment, facilities, and greater access, which could provide our district with one computer for every 1.6 students. Amanda-Clearcreek also has a very active alumni association.

  The Fairfield County Board of Education passed a resolution Saturday, June 7, 1930, creating the Berne Union School District. On June 16, 1930, the board with three members from Sugar Grove and two from Crawfis met for organization.

• BLOOM-CARROLL LOCAL

  
  

  The mission of the Bloom-Carroll School District is to provide each student an equal opportunity to attain the highest possible level of intellectual, personal, social and vocational development. The knowledge, skills and attitudes which students acquire, develop and utilize in school will lead to being prepared to assume and accept the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. In addition, these traits will facilitate the student鈥檚 lifelong journey toward personal fulfillment.

  The Fairfield County Educational Service Center exists for the purpose of providing student centered educational leadership and supportive services to meet the individual and collective needs of the staff, students and boards of education of the eight local school districts located in Fairfield County.

  The mission of the Fairfield Union School District is to provide a safe, healthy and challenging educational environment, where all students become life long learners and confident, productive citizens.

• LANCASTER CITY

  
  

  Lancaster City Schools operates one high school, two junior high schools and eight elementary schools.

• LANCASTER DIGITAL ACADEMY

  
  

  The Lancaster Digital is A Public Community School. The school is a public nonprofit, nonsectarian schools that operates independently of any school district under contract with an authorized sponsoring entity. The sponsor of our school is Lancaster City Schools. Students attend school at home on a computer provided by the Lancaster Digital Academy. The students receive a internet if needed, a computer system, and online coursework and instructors.

  The Liberty Union-Thruston School District is comprised of Baltimore Village, Greenfield Township, Liberty Township, Pleasant Township, Thurston Village, Violet Township, and Walnut Township in Fairfield County, Ohio. We are very fortunate to have great support for education in our community. That support is evident in many ways, with financial support provided by taxpayers, numerous volunteers who help out in a variety of ways, and cooperative partnerships established with the Village, local businesses and community organizations.

  The Pickerington Local School District is one of Ohio鈥檚 Premier 91制片. For the past 5 years, the district has earned among the top ratings for the State of Ohio Report Card. The Ohio Department of Education ratings are based on student performance on statewide achievement tests, graduation rates, and attendance rates. The Pickerington Local School District has grown from a shared one-room school in a log cabin to 14 modern facilities educating more than 10,200 students, making it the 15th largest* school district in Ohio. Our goal is to be a high performance school district with high-quality learning environments for every student. Our mission is to provide children an efficient and nurturing educational environment that creates life-long learners who are socially responsible citizens. We believe children are our primary focus.
