  FISD is dedicated to education and committed to excellence. We are a technology immersed district that strongly believes in developing students with 21st Century learning skills. We strive to develop well-rounded, life-long learners who excel academically and socially. Hard working students, strong staff, supportive parents, and a supportive community are vital to the success of our district. FISD offers many opportunities for students to succeed beyond the classroom through our academic UIL programs, athletic programs, and band program. 鈥漌hirlwind Pride鈥� drives each program and brings our school community together. In addition, students learn self-discipline and a strong work ethic that help them in the classroom as well as in life. Floydada is a wonderful community where students receive an excellent education.

  It is the mission of Lockney Independent School District to develop well-rounded citizens in an environment rich with tradition and success. Great students, great staff, great parents, and a great community provide us the key ingredients to continue on that path. Our instruction is second to none. Our staff encourages students of all abilities to strive toward academic excellence. We want students to continue beyond what is required; we want them to develop an unquenchable thirst for lifelong learning and discovery. We want students to become successful in an ever-changing society. Lockney ISD provides a safe and caring environment for all students. We want them to leave here each day with a positive self-image. We believe that if students are nurtured and cared for, then success will always be within their grasps. We have a wide variety of successful extra-curricular activities. Our athletic, band, and UIL academic programs have crowned many champions at district, regional, and state levels. Students have the best chance to succeed when they are exposed to a variety of real-life experiences. We strive to give that opportunity to every student.
