  Located in the beautiful Hood River Valley, the Hood River County School District provides exceptional opportunities for students. Thanks to strong community support, our schools offer full-day kindergarten, experienced and expert staff, extracurricular programs at middle and high schools, and a wide range of college-credit and advanced-placement courses. More than 80 percent of our graduates pursue education beyond high school. We have recently invested $25 million to increase energy efficiency, add classrooms and upgrade key components of our school buildings. The mission of the Hood River County School District is to provide students an educational system of excellence, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability allowing all students the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage in a global economy.
