  The Coupeville School District is located on the central portion of Whidbey Island in Puget Sound, Washington. The Washington State Ferry system connects the island with the I-5 corridor and the Olympic Peninsula. Islanders also have the option of using the Deception Pass Bridge to reach the mainland. The Mission of the Coupeville School District, the learning hub for the community, is to educate our students to be: Competent Thinkers and Participants who demonstrate they can meet academic standards and be creative problem solvers; Confident Learners who are ready to apply their knowledge, understanding and skills to new challenges; Caring Individuals who make healthy choices, support the well-being of others, and contribute in positive ways to their community.

  Oak Harbor schools have a hard-earned reputation for excellence, borne out by a graduation rate considerably higher than the state average, a career-tech program that is considered a model for others, and challenging AP courses in 12 subjects. Our graduates last year received more than $5.5 million in scholarship offers.This achievement is thanks to a remarkable group of teachers, motivated students, a caring community, and the foresight of a school board that set the goal of providing one computer for every five students.

  The South Whidbey School District serves the communities located on the south end of Whidbey Island in Washington State. The district is 60 square miles in size and serves approximately 1,550 students in three traditional schools and two alternative programs. We employ roughly 170 FTE and 198 (head count) staff. Our Vision: Every student is a successful independent learner, empowered for life in the global society of the 21st century. Our Mission: In partnership with our community, we are deeply committed to provide our students with the best educational experience, preparing them to become capable, creative, caring, and responsible citizens.
