  The philosophy of the Cleveland Independent School District is to build a community of empowered, life-long learners, in a way that staff and community support and take pride in Cleveland ISD, so that we can develop successful, productive, responsible, and healthy citizens of the world.

• DAYTON ISD

  
  

  The mission of Dayton Independent School District is to educate all students to the maximum extent of their abilities and to challenge them to excel in a changing world. The fundamental purpose of Dayton Independent School District is to develop in all students the essential academic skills and knowledge of which to build lifetime learning. All students are taught a core curriculum of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Health, Physical Education and Technological Literacy. All students will be expected to acquire a knowledge of citizenship and economic responsibilities and an appreciation of all common American heritage including its multicultural richness. Dayton Independent School District will strive to provide an educational system that maintains accountability for demonstrated results and will work towards continuous improvement.

• DEVERS ISD

  
  

  Devers is located on Highway 90, about 10 miles east of Liberty, Texas and about 28 miles west of Beaumont. We offer classes from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. It is the mission of the District to provide an environment that will enable all students to learn. All District personnel will nurture each student so each student may be empowered with a positive selfimage and desire to be a life-long learner. To achieve this goal, the District will provide a flexible curriculum of English, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health, physical education, and computer literacy. The curriculum will be taught in an environment that will promote citizenship and develop an appreciation of our common American heritage, including its multicultural richness. Multisensory teaching strategies will be used so that students of all learning styles will be addressed and given the opportunity to achieve academic success.The District believes that education does make a difference in the lives of its students.

• HARDIN ISD

  
  

  The Hardin Independent School District has experienced a rich history since its inception in 1941. It was then that five smaller schools combined to create Hardin ISD. From that point, Hardin ISD has proudly maintained a family atmosphere that is dedicated to bringing together its students who live in such a geographically large district. The district鈥檚 boundaries run from the city limits of Liberty north to the Polk County line, a distance of approximately 30 miles. East to west, the district鈥檚 attendance lines run from Hardin County to the Trinity River, a distance of about 15 miles. Mission: We, the administration, faculty, and staff of the Hardin Independent School District expect to produce citizens who can do more than just pass tests. We expect to produce honest, hardworking citizens who take pride in their work, themselves, and everything they do. We expect to produce citizens who exhibit self-control and self-discipline and have a clear sense of right and wrong. We expect to produce citizens who live longer, more productive lives. We expect to produce citizens who can think cooperatively, and productively; citizens who aren鈥檛 afraid of new ideas and are prepared to put the best of those ideas into practice. We expect to produce citizens ready and able to excel in either the workforce or colleges and universities with equal vigor. We expect to produce citizens who have pride in their community, state, and country. We expect to produce citizens who will advance our civilization, for we understand that THE FUTURE BELONGS NOT TO THE LEARNED, BUT TO THE LEARNER.

  The District's mission is to provide a safe, healthy, educational environment where all students can achieve their potential and develop a feeling of self-worth, so that they may become productive individuals in school as well as in society. High expectations are set not only for students but for administrators, faculty, and staff as well. Students shall be provided a well-balanced instructional program that meets their needs. The district believes that all students can and must learn, develop a love of learning, and exhibit a positive attitude throughout life. The student's progress shall be monitored through a well-balanced curriculum that promotes fluency and problem-solving abilities in academic, vocational, artistic, physical, and technological areas. An effective communication shall be developed between the home and the school that involves parents, school, and the community cooperating to provide the best opportunities for each student. We pledge ourselves to prepare all students for the challenge, current and future. We realize that the future belongs to the educated.

  In the belief that all children should be educated to the fullest extent of their individual abilities, the Tarkington Independent School District's mission is to provide the essential academic skills and the necessary knowledge base for the student's lifelong learning. All students will be taught a core curriculum of English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health, physical education, and technological literacy. All students will acquire a knowledge of citizenship and their economic responsibility, based on an appreciation of our American heritage and an understanding of the importance of its multicultural richness.
