  Powell Township School District has one school building,聽 located in Big Bay, Michigan.聽The school was built in 1938, replacing the Charles Burns School that burnt down in 1936.聽 That school had been built in 1914.聽聽聽Powell聽Township School聽educates PreK-8th grade students.聽 The district has聽an agreement with Negaunee Public Schools聽to educate Powell Township high school students and provides transportation to Negaunee
