  Cameron Independent School District is located in the central part of Milam County in Cameron, Texas and has a population of approximately 5,600. The Cameron Public School System was established in 1890. Cameron Independent School District has approximately 1610 students and occupies approximately 315 square miles. Mission Statement: The Cameron Independent School District, in partnership with parents and community, will provide a quality education for all of our students, empowering them to pursue productive and fulfilling lives in an ever-changing, interdependent world.

  It our mission to educate each child to be capable to face the future with the ability to be successful in all aspects of life: academically, culturally, emotionally, morally, and physically. All students will succeed by learning to own their own learning and cultivate their curiosity. Each child will feel a sense of belonging, confidence, and safety. Students will develop their talents, be held to high learning standards, and be prepared for life. Our Motto is: "Expect Success...Nothing Less"

  MISSION STATEMENT: All children enrolled in Milano schools will learn the basic skills through a variety of methods of instruction, educational activities, discovery and exposure to ideas of others. The Milano Board of Trustees understands that a proper blend of traditional pedagogy, mixed with the benefits of high technology, will provide instruction that more than meets the requirements of the State of Texas. The Milano Independent School District requires its instructors to believe that they are responsible for student achievement and the proper behavior of their students. The district recognizes that parental support enhances student learning and urge parental involvement in the educational process of Milano, but the denial of parental commitments will not prevent Milano ISD from developing the student鈥檚 potential.
