  Illinois Valley High School offers the advantages of a comprehensive metropolitan school while retaining the spirit and closeness of a smaller school. The high school, which sits on 80 acres of land on the West side of Chillicothe, serves approximately 760 students. Completed in 1976, the facility features 51 carpeted and air conditioned classrooms, a fully equipped theater-auditorium, industrial technology facilities, gymnasium, commons, and library media center that offers over 15,000 volumes and the latest in audio, visual and computer technology.

It is our mission to impart the knowledge, skills, and attitudes for effective living in the home, school, and a democratic society. Limestone Walters School is an elementary school district located in rural Peoria. Formed in 1955, Limestone Walters is one of 8 feeder schools into Limestone High School serving 206 students and 23 staff members. Our district covers 14.70 square miles and our average classroom size is 22 students. We house K-8th graders and have one classroom per grade. Grades 6, 7, and 8 are departmentalized. In addition to our normal curriculum, we also offer music classes, computer classes, student council, speech team, and a full athletic program with experience coaches, along with many more enjoyable activities for our students. Our school has a 21st Century interactive learning center complete with 30 new computers, a projector and SMARTboard, and a color laser printer. Each classroom is equipped with an average of 3 upgraded computers for immediate student use. Our dedicated staff challenges our students to do their best and expectations are high. Our students have consistently scored well above average on both achievement tests and the state ISAT tests, and they excel when they go on to Limestone Community High School in both academic and extracurricular activities.

  The mission of SEAPCO is to serve children with diverse needs through an inclusive environment that is part of general education and that includes a full continuum of specialized services. The following statements support this mission: An inclusive environment is one that is accepting, collaborative, supportive, and integrative, providing equal access to opportunities in general education that are based on an individual child's needs. Whenever possible, the child's education will be based in general education classes. Special education services that are non-categorical, team based and collaborative will support the child in that environment. Students will be provided the opportunity to become productive, participating members of the community through specialized instruction that is individualized, objective based, and skill oriented. Staff development is essential for progress and is vital to the development of evolving professional roles. The needs of the whole child from birth through transition into the community will be addressed through increased networking and support systems.
