  The Ballinger Independent School District is a small K-12 school system which prides itself on an individualized and personalized approach to educating its students, all students enrolled from 5 to 12 grade have an Apple Laptop as part of the 1:1 laptop program funded within the district. Classes of instruction are relatively small; student support services are strong; and the curriculum programs are diverse. We believe all students can learn and, therefore, they deserve the best quality education we can give them each day in the classroom. We encourage critical thinking and try our best to instill a love of learning. We are confident we can ensure this outcome by building supportive, positive relationships in a culture of academic excellence. All of us - from teachers, custodians, cafeteria workers, administrators, maintenance crew, instructional aides, computer technicians, office personnel and all other staff - are a team focused on supporting the continued academic and personal growth of each student. We need one more very important part in our work and that partner is YOU. The success of our education system depends on our ability to continue building strong partnerships with businesses, families and community members. Working together, all of us have an important role in preparing our students for their future.

  Mission Statement: The Miles Independent School District exists because of the students and therefore our thinking, our activities, and our endeavors are centered on the general welfare and safety of all students. The purpose of this school, in partnership with parents and community, is to educate all students physically, mentally, morally, and emotionally and to expect high levels of academic performance. Appreciation for the heritage and basic traditions of the community is emphasized. The curriculum provides for sustained individual growth and continuing development of the whole student. We accept the responsibility to teach all students regardless of sex, handicap, race, color, or national origin, so they may attain their maximum educational potential.
