  Welcome to the Little Shasta Elementary School website. In existence since 1858, the school continues to provide a quality education for students in the Shasta valley. One of the very earliest schools in Siskiyou County, it has now been in continuous operation for more than 150 years! We offer a small school, family environment, that provides a variety of activities that include a ski program, sports, technology instruction, and an AfterSchool Program. Our School Accountability Report Card (SARC) will give you more information about our school鈥檚 program and student achievement data.

• MCCLOUD UNION ELEMENTARY

  
  

  The small classes at McCloud Elementary enable students to focus on learning and allow teachers to work one-on-one with students. The combination classrooms foster peer tutoring and cross-age learning on many levels. Our teachers are dedicated to addressing the needs of every student by recognizing that individual students have various backgrounds and learning styles. The small class sizes help ensure that all students have access to necessary resources.

  Montague Elementary School is located in the town of Montague which is 7 miles East of Yreka, California, in beautiful Siskiyou County. At our school, we seek to provide a safe environment in which students can grow to their fullest academically, emotionally, and socially so that they can become educated, responsible, contributing citizens of our world. This goal is evidence of dedication to our mission to "Ensure safety and learning for all students." Our two rules - "Be Safe" and "Be Kind"- work to help the students learn to be responsible for their own actions to create a good learning environment.
