• MILL A SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  Mill A is a rural one-school district nestled in the Cascade Mountains of southwest Washington State, right in the heart of the majestic Columbia Gorge. Our facility is a single building, with 2 classrooms, a cafeteria, library and gym that are well maintained for use by both students and community. Mill A School currently serves 25 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Kindergarten is all day. Both our reading and math curriculum are new and rigorous. Science is taught using FOSS kits, which offer hands-on exploration of numerous subjects, such as sound, anatomy, electricity, and magnetism. Teachers provide art instruction in the classroom. High School students attend Stevenson High School in the Stevenson-Carson School District or Columbia High School in the White Salmon Valley School District. Transportation to and from Stevenson High School is provided by Mill A. Transportation to and from Columbia High School is provided by White Salmon Valley School District

• MOUNT PLEASANT SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  Mission statement: It is the mission of Mt. Pleasant School District to provide learning experiences which will not only assist students in developing basic skill, competencies, and attitudes, but challenge them to succeed. Mt. Pleasant will provide these experiences in a safe and secure environment through caring educators and staff in partnership with the community, school board and administration. Vision statement: To be recognized as a school district that empowers all children to succeed in an ever-changing world.

  Skamania Elementary School is a kindergarten through eighth grade school, and is the only school in the Skamania School District. We are located along the Columbia River in Skamania County, in the southwest corner of Washington State. The mission of Skamania Elementary is to provide opportunities which prepare students in becoming responsible decision makers, lifelong learners, and caring, contributing members of society.

  The Stevenson-Carson School District is a K-12 district located in the Columbia River Gorge. A National Scenic Area, the Columbia River Gorge offers breathtaking views of tree covered mountains and streams dropping to the massive Columbia River below. While located in a rural area, serving the towns of Stevenson, North Bonneville, Carson, Stabler and 91制片 Valley, the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area is just 40 miles west of the District. The District鈥檚 motto is 鈥淐hildren First.鈥� While not a unique motto, the commitment and sincerity of the staff is genuine. Stevenson-Carson School District鈥檚 highest priorities are instructional with a clear focus to improve student reading performance. The commitment to consistent curriculum review and use of proven result-driven programs is a cornerstone of the commitment to place students first.
