  The Board of Education, administration, faculty and staff of the Milan C-2 School District believe ALL students can learn and achieve mastery of basic grade-level skills, regardless of their previous academic performance, family background, socio-economic status, race or gender. We believe our school's purpose is to educate all students to high levels of academic performance while fostering positive growth in social-emotional behaviors and attitudes. We accept the responsibility to teach all students so they can attain their maximum educational potential. This commitment empowers the staff to dedicate their energies to improve pupil achievement.

  STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE MISSION STATEMENT TO CONTACT US: The Newtown-Harris R-III School District, in conjunction with the community it serves, is dedicated to creating a positive environment in which all students are empowered to develop to their fullest intellectual and personal potential as life-long learners in a global society. Goals Statement The Newtown-Harris R-III School District considers discipline essential to excellence in a school program and the educational process. The District believes all students can learn and behave at school, and have a responsibility to behave in a manner that allows teachers to teach and students to learn, and does not violate the best interest of any person in the school and community. The District believes pupil conduct should be maintained with procedures, which will advance the purposes of education while remaining consistent with applicable state law and established Board of Education school policies.
