  EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY: The guiding philosophy of the District is based upon the everchanging goals and purposes of a democracy. The purpose of the District is to develop the whole individual in order to prepare him or her to be a useful and contributing member in a pluralistic society. In meeting this purpose, the District recognizes the cultural and linguistic pluralism of its student body and the need for the development of characteristics native to the individual student鈥檚 immediate environment as well as the need for the development of the characteristics of the larger and broader environment in which the student shall function in the future.
