  Conejo Valley Unified School District was established July 1, 1974. Serving 21,000 students with 17 elementary, 5 middle, 3 comprehensive high, and 2 alternative high schools, CVUSD also offers preschool, early child care, junior kindergarten, and other academic alternatives including Adult Education opportunities.

  鈥淗ueneme鈥� (pronounced Y NEE MEE) comes from a Chumash Indian word for 鈥渞esting place.鈥� Our families live in Port Hueneme and Oxnard, including unincorporated Silver Strand and Channel Islands Harbor neighborhoods. Hueneme ESD educates approximately 8,000 kindergarten through eighth grade students in nine elementary schools and two junior high schools. We have a close relationship with Naval Base Ventura County and work hard to meet the unique needs of our military families.

  Mesa, along with its predecessor schools has provided our children with a sound educational foundation for the many years and its motto "Commit to Excellence" speaks to a past of academic achievement and a hope for the future.
