  Columbia Gorge Education Service District is dedicated to enhancing the opportunities and educational efforts of our component school districts in maximizing educational achievement for our students. We strive to demonstrate leadership, provide wise utilization of resources, and add value to the educational process. We empower our component school districts through equitable support and flow-through funding to effectively and efficiently educate all students. Our Mission: to assist Hood River & Wasco County school districts and the Department of Education in achieving Oregon's educational goals by providing equitable, high quality, cost-effective and locally responsive educational services at a regional level.

  Dufur School District is a K-12 district of approximately 280 students, in Wasco County, Oregon. From Portland, it is located 90 miles east through the Columbia River Gorge, then south 15 miles from the city of The Dalles, Oregon. Our Mission Statement: "In partnership, we are dedicated to educational excellence and life long learning, emphasizing communication, trust, and respect."

  North Wasco County School District serves approximately 3,000 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. Three elementary schools serve grades Kindergarten through fifth; sixth through eighth grades are located at The Dalles Middle School and The Dalles Wahtonka High School main campus serves 9th through 12th grade and belongs to the 5A Intermountain Conference District as part of the Oregon Schools Activities Association. Discovery High School Alternative Program is located within the main high school campus, serving grades 9-12th. Two Charter Schools, Mosier Community School and Mosier Middle School serves approximately 220 students in grades K through 8th grade. Mission Statement: 鈥淧rovide foundational skills that encourage life-long learning and positive citizenship.鈥�

• SOUTH WASCO COUNTY SD 1

  
  

  South Wasco County School District is located in Maupin, Oregon. Maupin is located along the beautiful Deschutes River known for whitewater rafting and a prolific fishery. South Wasco County School District encompasses the entire southern region of Wasco County. This area is approximately 600,000 acres in size. The district has two schools; Maupin Grade School and South Wasco County Junior/Senior High School. Our district takes in many of the small communities in the area including: Wamic, Tygh Valley, Simnasho, Shaniko, Pine Hollow, Sportsman's Park, Wapinitia and Pine Grove.
