  The Bellingham School District has approximately 10,600 students and 1,300 staff members. Mission: We collectively commit that our students are cared for and respected, and that they will graduate from our schools prepared for success in the global community. Each will be exceptional in his or her own way, with strong character, a passion for learning, and ready for the widest range of educational and vocational options to support a diversity of life choices.

  Our schools are the heart of the community. On our K-12 campus we provide an environment where families, educators, business and community members join together to create a dynamic, exciting center for learning. Blaine, located in the northwest corner of Washington State, is an ideal place to live and visit. Our small town aura, seaside parks, marina and excellent moderate climate combine to invite visitors to return again and again.

  The schools in our district are the direct reflection of the concerns and efforts of our citizens to provide all students a learning environment in which to grow and develop to the maximum of their abilities. Our educational programs should develop attitudes and skills to help students prepare for future careers with a commitment to life-long learning. We believe we should enable them to become contributing members of a Democratic society. We believe continuous professional growth for educators is essential. Educators who themselves are continuous learners exemplify the wonder and excitement of learning for their students. We believe that everyone in the learning process must be given dignity, courtesy and must be held accountable for his/her actions. We also recognize individual differences and will offer equal educational opportunities to all students regardless of race, religion, creed, sex or handicapping condition. We believe in a school community partnership that will create and maintain the best possible schools for our community. We believe in providing equitable services to all schools in terms of curriculum, supplies and materials, and certificated and classified staff. The curriculum, the instructional materials, and the teaching process will be the best possible that the district can provide.

• MERIDIAN SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  The Meridian School District works in partnership with our families and our community to educate each student in a safe and supportive learning environment to become a positive contributor to society.

• MOUNT BAKER SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  Nestled in the shadow of majestic Mount Baker and in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, the Mount Baker School District serves over 1800 students living in a geographically large (512 square miles) rural area in Whatcom County - east of Bellingham, Washington. The staff of over 300 full- and part-time employees is dedicated to excellence in the education received by these students. Mission Statement 鈥� The Mount Baker School District, working with the community, will provide all students a strong educational foundation upon which they can build their futures as productive citizens in our changing world.
