  Located near the Oklahoma border, DeKalb ISD was established at the present location in 1900. The district encompasses 255 square miles, and is bound on the south by the Sulphur River, the north by the Red River, on the east by Malta School District and on the west be the Red River County Line. Mission statement: DeKalb Independent School district produces graduates ready to succeed with life鈥檚 challenges. Vision Statement: All Students of DeKalb Independent School District will learn and will succeed in any endeavor they pursue in life.

• HOOKS ISD

  
  

  The Hooks Independent School District (HISD) is located in the quiet East Texas town of Hooks, Texas. Hooks is a small community located in the northeast corner of Bowie County, just a few miles west of the city of Texarkana. Hooks ISD has three campuses: Hooks Elementary is for grades pre-k through 4, Hooks Junior High campus is for grades 5-8 and Hooks High School is for grades 9-12. Each Campus offers a challenging curriculum that meets or exceeds the requirements of the Texas Education Agency. Our Mission is to graduate responsible and productive citizens prepared for success by delivering appropriate and individualized educational experiences.

  Hubbard Independent School District is a family oriented District of choice that provides all students with a safe and excellent educational experience that reflects positive values and equips students for a successful future. Hubbard School is located in Northeast Texas off Highway 259 South. Hubbard is 5 miles South of DeKalb.

  Liberty-Eylau Independent School District is located in Texarkana, TX. We consist of six campuses 鈥� Pre-K Grandview Center (PK3 & PK4), Primary (KG & 1st), C.K.Bender Elementary (2nd - 4th), Middle School (5th - 8th), High School (9th - 12th), and School of Success (Alternative Campus 7th - 12th). DISTRICT VISION: Liberty-Eylau is a school and community dedicated to student achievement. The graduates are prepared to meet their full potential, instilled with a lifetime desire to learn, and are confident in their ability to succeed. They possess the character to make a difference.   Maud ISD is a strong, vibrant school located 18 miles west of Texarkana on Highway 8, in the southwest part of Bowie County. It is nestled in the piney woods of Northeast Texas, just 5 miles from the wonderful fishing area, Lake Wright Patman. Maud has all the advantages of being a small community and is minutes from the shopping areas of Texarkana and New Boston. The district has an enrollment of approximately 500 students in grades PK-12 housed on one main campus location. The professional staff works closely with students to encourage the development personal skills and behavioral patterns necessary to become a responsible members of society. The sincerity and familiarity between the students and staff creates a personal and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to become involved in Maud Schools.

• NEW BOSTON ISD

  
  

  New Boston Independent School District is located in New Boston, Texas - the county seat of Bowie County in extreme northeast Texas. New Boston ISD was established in 1890 and consists of five campuses - Oakview Primary, Crestview Elementary, New Boston Middle School, New Boston High School, and Buddy Alford DAEP. Mission Statement: New Boston ISD is committed to an educational system that will provide challenging learning experiences for every child. The district is determined that each student will become a productive citizen capable of making a positive contribution to a global society.

  Our Mission for Simms ISD: Simms Independent School District accepts the responsibility for preparing our students to live and work in a nation that is undergoing dramatic changes. All our students will be expected to master the State Essential Elements as a knowledge base on which to build future learning. Our students will also be taught a core curriculum as specified by the Texas Education Agency. As part of that curriculum all students will develop an appreciation and knowledge of citizenship and their unique Texas heritage. Simms ISD will accomplish this mission by providing the highest quality of instruction, equality of educational opportunities and resources, and accountability for demonstrated results and improvements.

  Texarkana ISD is a dynamic urban school district located in the Northeast corner of Texas. The district encompasses an area of 34 square miles and shares a border with Texarkana, Arkansas public schools. The majority of the city of Texarkana, Texas lies within the TISD boundaries, along with the cities of Wake Village and Nash, Texas. The community is classified by the Texas Education Agency as an "independent town". Texarkana ISD has grown to become the largest district in Bowie County and the largest district served by the Region VIII Education Service Center. Mission Statement: Texarkana Independent School District will provide an exceptional education for all learners in a quality environment which nurtures the intellectual, social, cultural and physical development of each student鈥檚 overall well?being.
