• CENTRAL DAUPHIN SD

  
  

  Central Dauphin School District is a dynamic, suburban community of 85,000 residents with a population of approximately 10,000 plus students. It is located northeast of the city of Harrisburg within the County of Dauphin in south central Pennsylvania. The school district is the 15th largest school district in the Commonwealth and is the largest of the 10 school districts located in the county. Encompassing an area of 118.2 square miles, the district is comprised of three boroughs (Dauphin, Paxtang and Penbrook) and four townships (Lower Paxton, Middle Paxton, Swatara and West Hanover). Our students attend one of 13 elementary schools, four middle schools and two high schools; and are transported from urban, suburban and rural areas. Central Dauphin School District strives to provide "quality to the core" educational opportunities to ensure that all students achieve success. • COMMONWEALTH CONNECTIONS ACADEMY CS

  
  

  Commonwealth Connections Academy (CCA) is a tuition-free, K鈥�12 public cyber school that allows students to attend school from home. CCA brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family鈥檚 door鈥攁nywhere in Pennsylvania. Authorized under state law by PDE, CCA is operated by the Commonwealth Connections Academy Charter School, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school is governed by an independent Board of Directors and all meetings are open to the public.

• DAUPHIN COUNTY TECHNICAL SCHOOL

  
  

  Dauphin County Technical School is a full-time, comprehensive public career and technical high school serving Central Dauphin, Derry Township, Halifax Area, Lower Dauphin, Middletown Area, and Susquehanna Township 91制片. Students from other school districts may attend on a tuition basis. At DCTech we believe in educating the whole student by focusing on both the student's academic and career preparation. The mission of the Dauphin County Technical School is to prepare students to enter post secondary education and industry with the attitude, skills, and knowledge necessary to be successful in a constantly changing and competitive world.

  Derry Township School District is an award-winning public school system located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Our community enjoys a legacy that began with founder Milton S. Hershey. The district serves approximately 3,600 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade residing in Derry Township, Dauphin County. • LOWER DAUPHIN SD

  
  

  The Lower Dauphin School District is made up of five municipalities - the Borough of Hummelstown and the Townships of Conewago, East Hanover, Londonderry and South Hanover. Lower Dauphin covers close to 90-square miles and is home to 22,545 residents. About 4,000 young people attend our schools; with about 1,700 at the elementary level, 1,000 in the Middle School, 1,200 in High School, and another 100 at the Dauphin County Technical School. The Mission of the Lower Dauphin School District is to engage all students in a customized educational experience that prepares them to be self-sufficient and contributing members of a global community.

  The Middletown Area School District is located in the southern portion of Dauphin County, approximately ten miles from the city of Harrisburg. Mission: The Middletown Area School District will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that challenges all students regardless of backgrounds, abilities, and interests to reach their maximum potential for success. Striving for excellence in instructional, technological, and extracurricular programs will be emphasized, while promoting student wellness, citizenship, and social harmony.   We are the first charter school in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and located in the state capital of Harrisburg. We serve 220 students in grades K-4, with no more than 22 students in each class. The mission of the Sylvan Heights Science Charter School is to enhance children's lives through educational experiences that are grounded in a comprehensive, science-driven interdisciplinary program highlighting discovery and creativity.

• VISTA SCHOOL

  
  

  A group of highly committed parents and professionals, seeking to create an alternative educational and therapeutic program in Central Pennsylvania, established The Vista School庐 to prepare children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to function in the community with increasing independence. The Vista School庐 opened its doors to 4 children on February 4, 2002, and since that day has been committed to preparing its students for meaningful involvement in public school programs, community activities, or eventual productive work. Vista currently serves 80 children with ASD ranging in age from pre-kindergarten to secondary school age from Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York Counties. Vista serves children who are functioning on the moderate to severe end of the autism spectrum. These children often display severe delays in communication skills, engage in higher rates of problematic or challenging behaviors, require assistance for activities of daily living, have little or limited ability to appropriately occupy their leisure time, and need one-on-one instruction for learning new skills.
