PHILADELPHIA CITY SD

The School District of Philadelphia is the eighth largest school district in the nation, by enrollment. CENTRAL BUCKS SD

The Central Bucks Schools will provide all students with the academic and problem solving skills essential for personal development, responsible citizenship, and life long learning. Central Bucks is a suburban school district located in the heart of Bucks County, with administrative offices in Doylestown, the county seat. The district includes nine municipalities: the Boroughs of Chalfont, Doylestown, and New Britain; and the Townships of Buckingham, Doylestown, New Britain, Plumstead, Warrington, and Warwick. Central Bucks has an area of 122 square miles and a population of over 101,000. Currently CB is the third largest school district in the state. Just under 20,000 students are educated in our fifteen elementary, five middle and three high schools. An award-winning staff development program and careful planning for growth have resulted in a very consistent and stable district, even with such a large student enrollment. PSSA test scores are highest in the county, 4th highest in the tri-county area and 6th highest in the state. 92% of CB students further their education at two and four year colleges, and CB has a graduation rate of more than 99%.

The Erie School District serves the City of Erie in Erie County, Pennsylvania. Erie is the state's fourth-largest city with an estimated population of 101,786. The School District enrollment is approximately 12,300 across 18 public schools. The City is the seat of government for Erie County with a total land area of 19.3 square miles. The School District was organized in 1870, but its first school dates back to 1860. From its initial enrollment of 3,700 students in 1870 to more than 12,000 students today, the District has provided high quality public education to City students. Central Dauphin School District is a dynamic, suburban community of 85,000 residents with a population of approximately 10,000 plus students. The Chambersburg Area School District covers 250 square miles in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, near the center of the Cumberland Valley. More than 61,000 people live in the district, which is composed of the Borough of Chambersburg, Greene, Hamilton, Letterkenny, and Lurgan townships, and most of Guilford Township. The school district's enrollment is nearly 8,800 students, making it the 22nd largest of Pennsylvania's 500 school districts. CASD also ranks 37th out of 500 in geographic size. EAST PENN SD

The East Penn School District is located in the Lehigh Valley's metropolitan area which has a total population of a half million people. East Penn is noted for its academic excellence. Of the Class of 2011, 55% are attending four-year colleges or universities, 24% are attending two-year colleges and 3% are attending business, nursing or technical schools for a total of 82% seeking higher education. Twenty (20) advanced placement courses and 23 honors courses are offered at the high school. There are classes for special needs students and academically gifted on all levels. Student activities include dramatics and musical performances as well as an active club program. At the secondary level, 22 varsity and 12 junior varsity sports are offered with over one-third of the students participating. The East Penn staff consists of approximately 542 professional and 422 support members. 83.2% of the teachers hold a master degree or beyond. In addition to attending many workshops and conferences each year, every professional employee participates in various workshops and training activities through the Employee Development Program to enhance their particular skills. Members of our professional staff are resource persons for state, national and international conferences, adjunct college professors and published writers and researchers.
COMMONWEALTH CONNECTIONS ACADEMY CS

Commonwealth Connections Academy (CCA) is a tuition-free, K鈥�12 public cyber school that allows students to attend school from home. CCA brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family鈥檚 door鈥攁nywhere in Pennsylvania. Authorized under state law by PDE, CCA is operated by the Commonwealth Connections Academy Charter School, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school is governed by an independent Board of Directors and all meetings are open to the public.

The primary goal of education in the Butler Area School District is the maximum individual development and adjustment of each student for effective living in a democratic society, through the development of concepts and generalizations essential to an understanding of human relationships. Butler Area School District will not tolerate statements or behavior by any member of the School District which insults, degrades, harasses, or stereotypes any other person on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, handicap, physical condition, socioeconomic background, ethnic or national origin, or religion in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the laws of the United States. To bring this philosophy into practice, it is necessary to develop each student's ability to think rationally for the solution of life's problems. If such thinking is to be stimulated to its fullest extent, a unified, comprehensive curriculum must be made available. All curricular activities must be planned to encourage the acquisition of skills which will provide the means for acquiring and sharing ideas. Attention must be given to the development of clear understandings as well as to desirable attitudes and behavioral patterns related to civic responsibility. An appreciation for the fine and practical arts must be encouraged. Experiences which will contribute to future economic efficiency must be integral parts of curriculum planning. Relatively equal emphasis must be attached to programs to prepare both the young people who are anticipating further education as well as those for whom public school is a terminal educational experience. Experiences which foster the maximum growth of each student are essential. Equal acceptance and appropriate opportunities for the gifted, the average, and the less able must be provided.
SENECA VALLEY SD

The Seneca Valley School District, 124 Seneca School Road, Harmony, PA, is a suburban district located in Jackson Township, Southern Butler County, Western Pennsylvania. It is approximately 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, is in close proximity to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and is adjacent to Interstate 79. The district covers 100 square miles and includes Cranberry, Forward, Jackson and Lancaster townships and Callery, Evans City, Harmony, Seven Fields and Zelienople boroughs. BOYERTOWN AREA SD

The Boyertown Area School District is situated on the northwestern edge of the greater Philadelphia suburban sprawl in southeastern Pennsylvania. Students in the district are educated in ten modern buildings. Seven K-6 elementary schools funnel students into one of two 7-9 junior high schools. There is one senior high school serving grades 10, 11 and 12. Geographic size makes school bus transportation a fact of life for better than 90% of the student body at all levels. Every school in the district has health room coverage, school counseling services and handles the majority of special education students in-house. The support services of 4 school psychologists are available to all levels.
NORRISTOWN AREA SD

The Norristown Area School District is quite a unique school district. We are comprised of three communities: East Norriton Township, West Norriton Township and the municipality of Norristown. Together the three communities are comprised of approximately 60,000 residents. In the Norristown Area School District there are approximately 1,000 employees. Six hundred district employees are teachers. Our student body is comprised of approximate 6,800 students in grades k-12. There are 11 schools: six elementary, three middle, one comprehensive high school and a much smaller high school that provides alternative programs for students. In addition, the Norristown Area High School partners with the Colonial and Upper Merion 91制片 to operate the Central Montco Technical High School.
WILKES-BARRE AREA SD

Situated in the heart of Pennsylvania, State College is a thriving, dynamic community. The State College Area School District draws its students from a 150 square mile attendance area encompassing the Borough of State College and the surrounding townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, and Patton, totaling an enrollment of approximately 6,900. Competitive pay for teachers and challenging staff development programs help enable SCASD to select from the top personnel available. The average per pupil ratio for classroom teachers is 23 to 1 at the elementary level and 24 to 1 at the secondary level. The mission of the State College Area School District is to prepare students for lifelong success through excellence in education.
SOUDERTON AREA SD

The Souderton Area School District (SASD) includes an area of 49 square miles in Upper Montgomery County. It is the largest school district, in square miles, in the county. The district is situated midway between the cities of Allentown and Philadelphia. Due to its locale the district has the best of both worlds: proximity to the city, while in a semi-rural setting. Six municipalities are within the boundaries of the SASD: the two boroughs of Souderton and Telford and the four townships of Franconia, Lower Salford, Upper Salford and Salford. The population of the school district exceeded 43,109 according to the 2010 census. "The Mission of the Souderton Area School District is to prepare students to demonstrate competencies needed to contribute and to succeed in a changing world by building on a commitment to excellence and innovation, by working in partnership with family and community, and by assuring a quality education for all students in a safe and nurturing environment."
TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN SD

The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District serves the townships of Tredyffrin and Easttown, encompassing 38 square miles in eastern Chester County. The area is primarily made up of single-family homes, and includes such notable communities as Paoli, Devon, Berwyn, Daylesford, Chesterbrook, Strafford, and Wayne. More than 6,000 students attend T/E's eight schools: Conestoga High School, Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, Valley Forge Middle School, Beaumont Elementary School, Devon Elementary School, Hillside Elementary School, New Eagle Elementary School, Valley Forge Elementary School.
