  The mission of East Texas Charter School is to help students discover who they are while guiding them into becoming more than they thought they could be. The philosophical foundations of ETCS include, but are not limited to: Belief that all students have potential and purpose; Belief that all students can learn and achieve high academic standards; Belief that all students are precious and need special attention; Belief that diagnostic testing is imperative to determine student's abilities, deficiencies and growth; Belief that counseling, mentoring, tutoring, and individualized education plans are essential to students' successes; Beliefs that service projects to the surrounding community, state, or nation contribute to the social development of the students.

• GLADEWATER ISD

  
  

  Vision Statement: In an attempt to create a continuing learning environment for students, staff, and community members, the vision of Gladewater ISD, a Title I district, is to infuse technology into a challenging and innovative instructional program across the grade levels, which includes cutting-edge technological opportunities producing competent, life-long learners and productive citizens. Mission Statement: The administrators, teachers, and staff of the Gladewater Independent School District, in partnership with students, parents, and community members, are dedicated to helping each student prepare for life-long learning and effective citizenship.

• KILGORE ISD

  
  

  The Kilgore Independent School District is centered around Kilgore, Texas and encompasses 106.7 square miles in Gregg and Rusk counties. Approximately 3900 students attend the six campuses of the district: Kilgore High (Grades 9-12), Maude Laird Middle (Grades 6-8), Kilgore Intermediate (Grades 4-5), Chandler Elementary (Grades 1-3), Kilgore Heights Elementary (Grades PK-K), Elder Alternative School. Mission Statement: Kilgore ISD is a community committed to doing WHATEVER IT TAKES in helping all students reach a high level of academic achievement as determined by state and national standards with the ability to creatively think, lead, collaborate, communicate and thrive in our local and a global society. We commit to a comprehensive system of support to assure this outcome. We believe our mission includes the education and preparation of our students for lifelong academic as well as workforce opportunities with an uncompromising commitment to a higher level of excellence.

• LONGVIEW ISD

  
  

  The Longview Independent School District is the largest and most comprehensive school district in the greater Longview area. Having over 8,400 students, our district mirrors the rich diversity of the East Texas community and culture. Longview High School houses grades 9-12 in a complex built on approximately 80 acres off Loop 281. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and offers 148 different courses including many Advanced Placement offerings. National Merit Scholars, an award winning band, and one of the top overall athletic programs in the state all come from Longview High School. Recently LHS was awarded a Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Math grant from the Texas Education Agency and the Michael Dell Foundation. This grant will allow LISD to launch Longview Global High School in 2008. In addition, LHS is now offering dual credit courses through Kilgore College, as well as online math courses for students. An International Baccalaureate program is in the process of being implemented and will make LISD one of the only districts in the state to have an IB program offered at every grade level. LISD offers many special programs including four elementary magnet schools with a planned enrichment program, and a magnet school of global studies for grades 6-8. The Longview ISD has been recognized by SchoolMatch, a full-service education consulting and research firm, and has received the prestigious "What Parents Want in Schools" award from this firm. Only 15% of the schools in the nation have received this award.

  Pine Tree ISD mission is to continue a tradition of excellence by providing a high-quality and challenging education environment, maximizing opportunities for the success of all students, equipping them to become responsible, involved, and productive citizens.

• REG 7 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER

  
  

  Region 7 ESC is one of 20 regional education service centers statewide that participates in the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of innovative educational programs. Created in 1967, Education Service Centers (ESCs) do not have tax levying or bonding authority, and rely on grants and contracts for funding. Revenues are received from three primary sources: federal, state, and local funds. Region 7 currently serves 106 school districts, the largest amount of school districts of any ESC. Quality Policy: Region 7 Education Service Center is committed to student success by providing quality programs and services that meet or exceed our customers鈥� expectations.

• SABINE ISD

  
  

  The Mission of the Sabine Independent School District is to provide appropriate, challenging opportunities in a safe and positive environment, so that all students can develop academically, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially to their fullest potential. Sabine ISD will prepare students to become good citizens and productive members of society by enabling them to be competent problem solvers and communicators, effective, collaborative workers and users of technology, and life-long learners.

• SPRING HILL ISD

  
  

  Located in Longview, Texas, Spring Hill ISD provides a learning community that is based on traditional values and progressive education. Spring Hill ISD benefits from strong community support and participation in the City of Longview Partners in Prevention: Action Committee Against Underage Drinking, Adopt a School Partnership of Longview, Media Committee, Mentoring Advisory Council, and Red Ribbon Week. The district also participates in the Longview Partnership Education Committee, GLOBE Scholars, and Longview Beautification Association. Spring Hill's mission statement is, "providing education to address real world needs."

• WHITE OAK ISD

  
  

  Mission Statement: The White Oak Independent School District, through a total team effort, provides a safe environment with relevant challenging, diverse educational opportunities, laying the foundation for success. Vision Statement: All White Oak Independent School District students will be responsible, life-long learners who realize their potential to become successful, collaborative citizens.
