The Kansas assessment tests have officially begun in the district. They will continue to run through the next two months. It is very important that you know the schedule of when your child or children will be taking these tests. Please encourage them to give their very best efforts with these tests. It is also important that the students are well rested during these times. The Kansas assessment testing results are a direct reflection on how our school district compares with the other districts around the state, and even the nation. Currently, USD 272 is considered to be one of the best academic districts in Kansas and in the nation. This is a very important time to be watchful of the state legislative session. As I am sure that most of you would agree, the children of Kansas are the state鈥檚 most valuable resource. Please encourage our legislators to look for solutions that do the right thing for the school aged children in Kansas.
