We think you鈥檒l agree. Here are some of our achievements. Education professionals from Iceland, Japan, Germany and Liberia have visited to learn about our educational model. In 2001, Twin Cities Academy received the Award of Excellence from the Freedom to Learn, Vision for New Urban Schools organization. In 2003, the Commissioner of Education recognized Twin Cities Academy as one of the 鈥淭op 20 Schools鈥� in the State of Minnesota for academic achievement gains in both reading and math. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, TCA has received a Five Star Rating from the state of Minnesota and made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined in 鈥淣o Child Left Behind.鈥� North Central Associated/Advanced Education Accreditation since 2000 National History Day Recognition 2009, 2009, 2010 National Merit School 鈥� 2011 ACT Scores above national and state averages Average 95% High School Parent/Teacher Conference participation rate for both schools MCAII Scores surpass Minneapolis, St. Paul and Minnesota State Averages.
