Welcome to the Hibbing Public Schools where our vision encompasses a commitment to academic excellence for all students and to the development of community partnerships. The Hibbing Public Schools have a well-earned reputation for excellence, a reputation that we work hard to maintain. Exemplary educational programs require safe and modern facilities. We continue to upgrade our schools each year. We are currently in Phase II of a multi-year, multi-million dollar project to renovate Hibbing High School. The ninety-year-old 鈥淐astle in the Wilderness鈥� is once again becoming a state-of-the-art educational facility with redesigned and expanded classrooms outfitted with the most modern teaching technology that is available today. New heating, lighting and ventilation will improve the comfort levels of teachers and learners alike. Although our facilities are important, our programs and student opportunities truly set us apart and make us special. Our students have access to a wide array of electives to make their academic careers interesting and meaningful. Further, a broad offering of after-school activities in fine arts, academics and athletics is available to students, including gifted and talented programs for elementary students in grades 3-6.
