Our student to teacher ratio is a very low 11.7 to 1; * Our staff is highly trained and highly qualified with years of dedicated service to the district; * Our students perform very well on the state required MCA tests. In May 2010, schooldigger.com, a search engine and comparison tool for parents, ranked Lancaster Elementary School as the #1 ranked school in the state of Minnesota. We are very proud of that.; * We have specialists in non-core areas: Physical Education, Music, Band, and Technology; * We have an E.C.F.E. Program for families with children ages birth to Kindergarten; * We have specialists to help meet all of our students' academic, emotional, and physical needs: Special Education, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy Adapted PE, School Social Worker, School Nurse, and School Psychologist; * We provide numerous supplemental educational learning opportunities for students including Accelerated Reading and Math, Lexia, Read Naturally, and Study Island Math; * We are a Title 1 school; * We have fully integrated our technology with state of the art hardware, software, and curriculum; * We have a Community Education program that emphasizes meeting the needs of youth and adults; * Our summer programming includes summer school enrichment classes, youth golf, baseball, swimming lessons, open gym, and summer theatre (all free of charge); * We have delicious/nutritious Breakfast and Lunch Programs; * We provide in town busing for all students; * 35% of our students are Open Enrolled into our school.
