On behalf of all of us in SAU #50, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community. We are very proud of our schools and their focus on the whole child Academically, students in our schools achieve at high levels. The Greenland Central School (PreK-8), Maude H. Trefethen School (K-6), Newington Public School (K-6), Rye Elementary School (K-5), and Rye Junior High School (6-8). Each school has a long history of academic excellence and taxpayer support for school budgets.Just as important as academic excellence is the value we place on the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each of our students, and the maintenance of a strong relationship with our communities. To that end our schools offer comprehensive programs and a variety of enrichment opportunities.All SAU #50 schools are Follow the Child schools; a personalized approach to education. This commitment places an emphasis on delivering a personalized education for each of our students.The SAU #50 School Board is comprised of 16 members representing each of our four towns: Greenland, New Castle, Newington, and Rye and is committed to excellence.
