School Administrative Unit #13 includes the School Board Districts of Madison, Tamworth and Freedom. It was initially formed in 1991 in an effort to promote excellence in our educational programs and our school districts. In the thirteen years of existence we have worked on initiatives such as: teacher evaluation, curriculum mapping, project based learning and Understanding by Design. Together we have developed curriculum, standards and benchmarks in all of the content areas. MISSION STATEMENT-The mission of SAU #13, through the collaborative efforts and resources available to the tri-town partnership, is to prepare students to become lifelong learners with the highest standards of academic achievement and excellence, and to meet the challenges of self-directed leadership and participation in our competitive global society.
