The mission of the Upper Deerfield Township School District is to prepare students to become contributing citizens in both their school community and in communities that represent the world in which they live. To accomplish this, Upper Deerfield Township is committed that all students achieve the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) and will maintain a staff of professionals dedicated to the NJCCCS and the New Jersey Standards for Professional Development. The diverse student population in Upper Deerfield Township School District has created for multi-faceted approach to learning. This will be an approach that: encourages continued collegial interaction; enhances both student and adult learning through current educational research; offers a safe and supportive environment; strengthens the role of parents and community members in the school setting; plus continues to develop a district dedicated to the belief that life long learning is a vital part of the educational process and will be the shared responsibility of the total community. Educating our children well is work which is shared by our school and our community. With school board members, parents and teachers working together collaboratively with our police, fire fighters and emergency departments sharing their time and expertise and with enumerable members of our community visiting our classrooms and contributing to the educational progress, helps us achieve our goal of excellence in the education for our children
