Fahari Academy Charter School first opened its doors in August of 2009 to serve Brooklyn鈥檚 East Flatbush community. Currently, Fahari Academy serves students in grades 5 through 7, with plans to grow through the 12th聽grade, educating more than 800 students.Fahari is from the Swahili word meaning pride. PRIDE encompasses the culture of our academy and defines our core values 鈥� Perseverance, Respect, Independence, Discipline and Excellence. Here at Fahari Academy our students adhere to a standard of academic excellence. They take pleasure in working hard to exceed expectations and working to be an exemplary community member of their community.
