Paulding Exempted Village School district covers 177 square miles in northwestern Ohio, Paulding County. The district includes the communities of Paulding and Oakwood and several small surrounding areas as well. The school district is largely a rural area. Paulding Exempted Schools includes approximately 1650 students in grades PK-12. Buildings include Paulding High School (grades 9-12), Paulding Middle School (grades 6-8), Paulding Elementary School (grades PK-5), and Oakwood Elementary School (PK-6). The district also operates a transportation center and an administration building. Paulding Exempted Village Schools employ 114 certified teaching/administrator staff and over 72 support staff (bus drivers, engineers, custodians, food service workers, secretaries, etc.). Our Mission Statement: PEVS will be an interactive learning community enhanced through technology and curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, community service, and interpersonal skills. The school, community, and families will be partners to promote a safe and accepting environment, encouraging mutual respect, open communications, and a sense of belonging, thereby enabling teaching and learning to flourish. Paulding Exempted Village Schools recognize that each student is a unique individual.
