William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School, located in Lincoln, Rhode Island, is a local education agency (LEA) serving approximately 850 students from six sending districts: Central Falls, Lincoln, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, and Smithfield. Davies is a state-operated school governed by an independent, business-led Board of Trustees. Students must take an entance examination and apply for admissions to Davies. The mission of the William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School is to provide its student population a learning environment that is constantly improving its teaching delivery and mentoring/support systems to stimulate and nurture the students' intellectual growth, self-discovery, and aspirations to attain the following practices: Demonstrate respect, responsibility, and readiness to succeed; Exhibit creative and critical thinking; Acquire academic and technical training preparedness and appreciate an excellence for learning; Demonstrate a passion for learning, understand the value of education, and foster a commitment for life-long learning
