Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) Mayoral Academy is a network of tuition-free public schools chartered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. As a growing network of schools, BVP offers a high quality public school choice to the families of Lincoln, Cumberland, Central Falls and Pawtucket and currently serves 770 scholars in grades K-3 and 5-7. A member of the Rhode Island Mayoral AcademiesSM network, BVP鈥檚 mission is to prepare every scholar for success in college and the world beyond. Our school culture is founded on the core PRIDE values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Enthusiasm. Scholars, families and staff are expected to live and implement these in their daily work. Our homerooms are named after the alma maters of our staff, including URI, Brown University, RIC and colleges nationwide. Supported by the unyielding commitment to the belief that all children can achieve, we know our 鈥渟tudents鈥� are really scholars who will one day graduate from college.
