The philosophy of the Big Stone City School District 25-1 shall be so designed to implement such education programs that will best meet the needs of the individual child according to his potential. This will include all children regardless of abilities. Children should be exposed, guided and counseled to develop competencies that are transferable to vocational and life skills. These include the ability to read, write, reason, compute and develop social skills, attitudes and sound work habits. Children shall be provided experiences that will motivate awareness and creativity. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the school to provide direction for each child to become a contributing and responsible citizen in society.
