PHILOSOPHY OF THE RUTLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT: The Rutland School District believes that we can promote life-long learners. We also encourage academic and social values as well as attitudes to develop strong work ethics, to produce quality work, and motivate students to be responsible, honest, and self- disciplined. Our school curriculum emphasizes cooperative learning and the team approach to help each child become successful. We must enhance the skills that permit students to acquire, retain, understand, and apply knowledge and information. The school district promotes a quality education through a collaborative effort of students, parents, faculty, and the community. We believe, above all else, that children are capable of learning and every child can be successful. RUTLAND SCHOOL鈥橲 MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Rutland Public School is to ensure that all students acquire knowledge and develop the skills and work habits to enable them to become productive members of society. This mission is best accomplished when school personnel maintain high expectation for all students, create a positive school climate, ensure a safe and orderly school environment, monitor students progress on a frequent basis and promote effective home-school communication.
