The District is dedicated to helping each student develop personal knowledge, skills, and competence, according to their abilities, and to learning behavior patterns that will make each a responsible member of society. An integral part of the basic curriculum shall include: citizenship and political understanding; physical and environmental health habits; appreciation of culture, language, and life diversities; and competence in personal and social relations. The learning process should take into consideration the personal goals of every student and should be designed so that each can achieve the educational standards of the system and be encouraged to remain in school until ready for a post-high school career. The District鈥檚 program is established to measure the performance of the school system in terms of the competence of its staff, the performance of its pupils, and the efficiency of its structure and process. This accountability can only be done by continuous planning and evaluation.
