About HOWE ISD

Description provided by the district or community — not part of the NCES dataset.

The Howe Independent School District is an AA school district serving approximately 1,000 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. Howe is located about sixty miles north of Dallas and twelve miles south of Sherman on Highway 75, in Grayson County. The school district totals 76 square miles. The district has one elementary school, one middle school and one high school. The schools of the Howe ISD provide quality curricula, co-curricula, and special services to meet the needs of the student population. The faculty, administration, and support staff are committed to high educational standards and the development of individual potential. The teachers and staff work daily to prepare students to realize that their options are limitless. Because of the community, the Board of Trustees, the educational staff, and the students working together, students are able to reach new horizons. Mission: To provide each student with the opportunity to obtain a successful and challenging learning experience in a way that: encourages a desire for life-long learning; promotes problem-solving and decision making; builds a good self-image; develops behavior patterns which lead toward responsible citizenship; supports relationships between home, school and the community so that all students have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential in order to prepare them to be successful, contributing members of society.
