Nestled in the beauty of Summit Park, the Weilenmann School of Discovery provides a unique setting for the education of children and the development of their creativity. A model school based on an innovative curriculum and the most successful proven practices in education, Weilenmann offers students in grades K – 8 opportunities for academic excellence, intellectual inquiry, artistic expression, creativity and discovery, and a strong connection to the natural world. Located on 11 acres in the Snyderville Basin of Parley’s Canyon, Weilenmann’s facility reflects the school’s mission to embrace the connections between science and art. The innovative school design follows the contour of the land, and large windows allow natural light and views of the surrounding hills. Here, nature stands out as an essential element in inspiring and motivating learning. In addition to an expansive Academic Program, students benefit from classes in Art, Orchestra, Chorus, P.E., Outdoor, Community Service, and Foreign Language as part of the curriculum. The integration of technology in the classroom enhances student understanding. Optional after school programs are offered each term. Weilenmann School of Discovery welcomes students of all abilities and includes a comprehensive Special Education Program. Weilenmann is an accredited public charter school and aligns with Utah state core curricular goals. 91Ƭwork consists of authentic learning assignments relevant to intellectual growth, and encourages individual discovery, mastery of skills, test preparation and the furthering of individual interests.
