A predominantly rural county in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, the Grant County School District operates five schools and an Alternative Learning Center, in which approximately 1890 students are currently enrolled. Dorcas Elementary serves grades K – 6; Maysville Elementary serves grades Pre-K – 6; Petersburg Elementary serves grades Pre-K – 6; Petersburg High School serves grades 7 – 12, and; Union Educational Complex serves grades Pre-K – 12. Each school is staffed with highly qualified personnel who work diligently to support and enhance the learning and increase the academic performance of each individual student in a thriving, positive school culture.
