Merrill Area Public Schools is a leading provider of quality education for children of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to a high school, middle school and five elementary schools, the district also includes a school forest where children can learn in nature, as well as a comprehensive PreKindergarten program. Pine River School for Young Learners offers Head Start, Early Childhood and PreKindergarten programs. PreKindergarten is also offered at four community sites: Trinity Lutheran School, St. Francis School, Parkside and New Testament Church. MAPS offer a comprehensive curriculum, including reading, mathematics, science, language arts, history, fine arts, foreign language and a broad range of vocational programs.
