About Stockbridge School District

Description provided by the district or community — not part of the NCES dataset.

The award winning Stockbridge School District is located along the eastern shore of Lake Winnebago in Calumet County. The district is midway between the Fox Cities and Fond du Lac along the scenic Niagara Escarpment. This geological feature shares its name with Niagara Falls. Families from the Village, Town and parts of the Towns of Harrison and Chilton send their children to the school in the village. The School District covers 32 square miles and serves a student membership of 243. Twenty-four experienced teachers provide instruction leading to exceptional student proficiency. With test scores among the top 10% of all schools in the state, Stockbridge Middle School has been named “Exemplary” by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators four consecutive years. Our school district enjoys wonderful parent and strong community support. Small class size and the opportunity for one-to-one instruction are hallmarks of the district. Educational technology is used extensively to support instruction. Computer education begins in kindergarten in one of three computer labs. Interactive technology utilizing Mimio whiteboards enhances learning at the elementary school. In middle school each student receives an iPod Touch to augment their classroom instruction. Science and Spanish Club activities are available to elementary age students. The Lego Club provides fun and creative release for 3rd to 8th graders. Stockbridge High School is organized in a modified block schedule. This allows the Board of Education to set a 30 credit graduation requirement, eight credits above that set by the state. Our distance education lab allows for use of Interactive TV and web-based instruction. Graduating seniors are eligible for a combination of private and public scholarship assistance to continue their post-secondary education.
