The Tyrone Area School District encompasses 176 square miles and includes the Borough of Tyrone and townships in the northern tip of Blair County, crossing into Centre County (Taylor Township) and Huntingdon County (Warriors Mark and Franklin Townships). Approximately 12,600 people reside within the district鈥檚 boundaries. Nestled in the hills of central Pennsylvania, the Tyrone Area School District proudly serves approximately 1900 students in one elementary school (PreK - grade 4), a middle school (grades 5 - 8), and a high school (grades 9 - 12).
