About Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center

Description provided by the district or community — not part of the NCES dataset.

The Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center provides high school students living in the Muhlenberg and Reading School districts with the opportunity to learn up-to-date technical skills that are in demand in business and industry. Students may choose to attend one of thirty (30) programs in a modern facility engaged in hands-on learning activities using state-of-the-art tools and equipment. Our students spend one half of their school day at RMCTC preparing for a rewarding career by learning the technical and academic skills which will lead to rewarding careers or entry into post-secondary education. Our programs are gaining industry certifications and continually strive to provide work-based learning opportunities to meet the ever changing demands of business and industry. We continue to establish articulation and dual enrollment agreements with post-secondary schools that will facilitate entry into post-secondary schools and provide students with the ability to earn college credits. Our students truly have "the best of both worlds." By remaining a part of their respective high school while attending Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center, opportunities available to students are multiplied! RMCTC students are eligible to participate in the extra-curricular opportunities provided by their high school and are also encouraged to participate in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). Our CTSOs provide experiences and opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and to meet and compete with our career and technical students from across the country.
