The Essex Town School District has three schools on two campuses. Essex Elementary School, located on Bixby Hill Road, is a primary program ranging from preschool to second grade. The services at Essex Elementary also include after school YMCA programs. The second campus is on Founders Road. Founders Memorial School serves grades 3-5 and includes an after school YMCA program. Essex Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Essex Schools, offers afterschool programs for Essex Elementary and Founders Memorial School students as well. Essex Middle School serves students in grades 6-8 and provides many after school offerings in music, art, intramural and interscholastic sports. Essex Town is a wonderful place to live and a great place to learn. The District serves approximately 1,250 preschool through grade eight students. Parents, staff members, students and the entire community work together to provide quality programs and help every child become successful. The MISSION of the Essex Town School District is to provide quality education to all children to ensure their success in a rapidly changing world.
